This past Saturday I had the pleasure of attending a wonderful presentation on everything Jane Austen at my local RWA chapter meeting.
Did you know that although Jane was first published over two hundred years ago - her books have NEVER been out of print!
The talk included snippets into Jane's time and an examination of her wit and astute knowledge of personality and character - all things that have remained timeless and relevant.
But when it comes to the men portraying Mr. Darcy, doesn't your heart just flutter a little when we see Colin Firth on the screen?

Two Mr. Darcy's? Yes. As both Mr. Darcy in Pride and Prejudice and Mark Darcy in Bridget Jones Diary.
Can you pick a favorite? It could just be that I'm a sucker for the english accent, or it could be the smile?
On the left we have Fitzwilliam Darcy and on the right in the black coat we have a more Mark Darcy looking persona. Both roles had me believing in romance, happy ever afters and the true hero (okay, I needed that box of tissues, I won't deny it
)
And just because it's Monday and there's nothing like the shot of man getting coffee poured over his head - I give you this to look at and ponder. So which one are you popping in the dvd player today?
Happy Monday!

I could watch some Mr. Darcy today! My heart needs a little pick-me-up fluttering to jump start the day

Want another treat? Check out Colin Firth in Valmont. It’s a version of Dangerous Liaisons starring Colin and Annette Bening. That face! Those gowns! Gaw-jus! Gina Ardito(Quote)
I’m not a huge Bridget Jones fan, but yes, Mark Darcy is the man for me. Em(Quote)
