If you know anything about me, it's my dependency on coffee. That little addiction is why I'm the barista in my own house - yes, I've got the keurig with my coffee carousel beside it loaded with at least a dozen flavors at a time. I've got flavored syrups, assorted creamers and your choice of milk or half-n-half at all times.
But does that stop me from visiting my local Starbucks whenever I can? Um...No.
The starbucks gift card is a no-brainer gift for me, just in case anyone is looking to get me somethin' special.
The only problem with the gift cards is that I have so many other cards in my bag (I have a separate case to carrry all those store cards, gift cards, etc.) sometimes it takes me a while to find it - cause we all know how organized I am
And I have been known to lose that little bag from time to time too.
So what does Starbucks in all their awesomeness do? They've got an app for that! An app that I can load my registered starbucks gift cards into. The app keeps track of your card balance and at participating stores, you can pay with your iTouch (or iPhone!) It loads a barcode for the barista to scan..presto, I'm good to go.
Since I always have my iTouch with me (almost an extension of my body at this point!) I can always take advantage of my gift cards and won't be leaving home without this one anytime soon.
I've been a bad blogger this week, and Maxine just has a way of putting life in perspective, doesn't she?
Along with my new contract comes edits, back cover copy, cover art details, author bios and ramping up for promotion on the new book. And of course, the next book has to be written.

Even though the sun is trying to peek through the clouds this morning, the weathermen tell me not to get too excited. It's going to rain AGAIN. (And frankly, I can't remember when the weathermen have had such a streak of accuracy, and it's getting old!)
We planted grass seed last week and I think it's been washed away, we'll know when grass starts growing in places we don't want grass. The little patches of grass we do have (and the surrounding weeds) are wonderfully green, flowers are trying to bloom, but I'm thinking things need a little sun to grow too!
I am sick to death of rain. If anyone out there is doing a rain dance, I beg you, please stop already!

Have you seen any of these commercials?
First of all WTF was Brooke thinking when she signed up for this? Is she that desperate for work? I guess Lipstick Jungle isn't paying the bills, she had to reduce herself to hawking VWs in these idiotic commercials?
Second, who the hell writes these dumbass commercials? Maybe it's just me, but I don't get them, even my kids who seem to get more jokes than I do lately - don't get it. We just sit there shaking our heads and all I can't think of is "I don't think I'd ever buy that car because those commericials just suck!"
I wish I posted that after lunch, I'm thinking I could use a drink about now. Have a great weekend. :grin:
