Why E-Books?

Advantages to E-Books

#1: Instant gratification. Imagine browsing book titles in your PJs, late at night or early in the morning. In seconds you can be reading the latest book from your favorite author!

#2: Go Green!. No trees were harmed in the making of my book and you didn't need to fill your gas tank to drive to the store to buy it!

#3: Takes up less space. Imagine having a large chunk of your library in the palm of your hands. Or not having to pack an extra suitcase for your reading material when you go on vacation. Less dusting the books on the shelves. Less boxes of books in storage in your garage and even less space at the local landfill - Did you know books end up in the trash?

#4: Legibility. Whether reading on your computer, you PDA or your e-book reader, you can adjust the font (can you do that with a print book?)

#5: Read anywhere. My e-reader is backlit...Yup, I can read in bed and not disturb my hubby. I can take my book anywhere and read!

#6: Is your reading taste a little spicy? That's your business and you can enjoy your reading choices anywhere you want. The dentist will never know. The other soccer-moms won't know either, unless you divulge. It's completely private and portable!

#7: Longevity. Unlike printed books, there won't be any ripped pages or pages missing. Your books will stay on your computer, your flashdrives or your readers until you take them off. You can re-read it and enjoy it over and over.

#8: Money! Ebooks cost less to produce and cost less to the consumer - generally about 30% less than it's printed counterpart. And what could be better than saving money? How about giving your favorite author a little more? Yes, ebook royalties are higher than those for print books. So everyone wins. You spend less to read and the author gets more. Translate that to your favorite author will be writing more of the books you enjoy!
