Starbucks App Love

If you know anything about me, it's my dependency on coffee. That little addiction is why I'm the barista in my own house - yes, I've got the keurig with my coffee carousel beside it loaded with at least a dozen flavors at a time. I've got flavored syrups, assorted creamers and your choice of milk or half-n-half at all times.

But does that stop me from visiting my local Starbucks whenever I can? Um...No.

The starbucks gift card is a no-brainer gift for me, just in case anyone is looking to get me somethin'  special.

The only problem with the gift cards is that I have so many other cards in my bag (I have a separate case to carrry all those store cards, gift cards, etc.) sometimes it takes me a while to find it - cause we all know how organized I am

And I have been known to lose that little bag from time to time too.

So what does Starbucks in all their awesomeness do?  They've got an app for that! An app that I can load my registered starbucks gift cards into. The app keeps track of your card balance and at participating stores, you can pay with your iTouch (or iPhone!) It loads a barcode for the barista to scan..presto, I'm good to go.

I'm in app love!

Since I always have my iTouch with me (almost an extension of my body at this point!) I can always take advantage of my gift cards and won't be leaving home without this one anytime soon.

Go check it out!

iTouch – I Read!

Being both an eBook author and an avid eBook reader, I've been thinking a lot about what type of reading device to get. While I love the dedicated readers like the Kindle and the Nook, I forced myself to think about what the right choice would be for me. The most important thing to me is versatility and portability. I carry a small bag, which means limited room.  My husband has had the Apple iTouch for a while and loves it. So, I gave it a whirl for a few days and was instantly hooked!

At first I didn't think I would want to spend much time reading on this small screen. WRONG.  I love the way the device almost disappears in my hand and I'm left with only the story. Besides it holding my calendar, getting my email, and letting me surf the internet - it has a Kindle app, a B&N app, and the Stanza app - all of these allow me to download books immediately from across the web! Can we say HEAVEN?  Oh yeah!

Two weeks and I'd be lost with it.

So what am I reading right now on my iTouch?

"Home for the Holidays" by Sarah Mayberry is first on my list of books read in 2010. Downloaded directly from the AllRomanceEbooks site - I choose the ePub format and loaded it right onto my iTouch through the Stanza App - in a snap!

I love the way I can choose my font color, size, overall color theme and brightness to my own perferences (whenever I want!)

I love the night screen, so I can read in bed or any dark place!

I'm a happy camper...and the general rule around my house is, "if mom is happy, the whole house is happy!"

YeeHaw!

And the book? Heartwarming and deliciously sexy. Her characters come alive with true to life emotions and conflicts. Enjoyable read! :) (Click to cover to read an excerpt and buy from AllRomanceEbooks.)
